Prayer for a Quiet Night

Watch over me, Lord,

in my weariness tonight,

silence the hum of the day that’s done.

Breathe peace into my thoughts,

weave love around my fears,

and soothe me now to sleep.

May gentle dreams realign my mind,

deep rest restore my body,

and eternal life revive my soul

that I may rise, fully alive,

to the smiles and trials

the coming day will soon and surely bring.

Amen.
