Pete Greig is the bewildered founder of the 24-7 Prayer movement, an award-winning author of nine books, and a co-host of the much-loved daily devotional Lectio365, used by 370,000 people.
He has spoken live to hundreds of thousands of people in many countries and contexts from Jakarta’s National Stadium to Salzburg’s Catholic cathedral, Windsor Castle to Wheaton College, a Swedish nightclub to the Scottish Parliament.
Pete and his wife Sammy, a professional counsellor, are proud parents to two adult sons. They are also the Founding Pastors of Emmaus Rd church in the south of England, and members of The Order of the Mustard Seed.
For eight years Pete was the Director of Prayer for Alpha at HTB in London.
Today he coaches leaders and brings leadership to Waverley Abbey, one of the oldest places of Christian prayer in the British Isles. He also serves as an Ambassador for the NGO Tearfund, and as a convening host for the annual Wildfires Festival,
Pete’s digital resources include The Prayer Course (down-loaded more than 3 million times), and the popular Aidan’s Way pilgrimage series, for which he hiked more than 300 miles from the Scottish island of Iona to the Holy Isle of Lindisfarne.
In his spare time, Pete enjoys mooching around art galleries and junk shops, exploring the Great Outdoors, and following the perennial vagaries of Portsmouth FC.

Speaking Engagements
Pete works with an international team of brilliant communicators from across the 24-7 movement, such as Tyler Staton, Jill Weber, Mark & Trudi Sayers, Brian Heasley, Sarah Yardley and Alain Emerson. Sadly he is unable to accept most of the speaking invitations he receives, but can always recommend someone appropriate for your event. Much of his teaching is available in print and online, particularly from Emmaus Rd.
